Production Tool & Die Maker

REPORTS TO: Auto Press Supervisor

 POSITION SUMMARY: Supports production and production tooling management.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs progressive die tooling during in press production.

• Prepares and examines standard progressive dies or tooling components in preparation for next run of production.

• Builds and maintains spare parts inventory for assigned tooling.

• Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities necessary to maintain production.

• Studies specifications, such as blueprints, quality control plans, and inspection history to identify opportunities to improve tooling or the manufacturing process.
